Sec 144 CrPC in force in SWGH

AMPATI: In view of the announcement of Lok Sabha Elections 2019, the District Magistrate, South West Garo Hills, Ramkumar S, has issued an order promulgating Section 144 of the CrPC in the entire district with immediate effect.

The order prohibits carrying of arms, defacement of government or individual property, premises, land, building etc for banners and posters and display of flags and stickers in private or commercial vehicles to ensure free fair and peaceful elections in the district.
