Assembly passes budget

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Assembly passed the budget for 2019-20 amounting to over Rs 16,000 crore on Thursday.
Other than the budget, the Assembly also passed the Meghalaya Lokayukta (Amendment) Bill, 2019.
It may be mentioned that the Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma, presented the budget on Tuesday.
The general discussion on the budget and the reply of the chief minister to it was on Wednesday.
