Cong women ready to campaign for LS polls

SHILLONG: The women’s wing of the state Congress has decided to go full throttle in its campaign for both seats in which the party is fielding its senior leaders.
Meghalaya Pradesh Mahila Congress president Joplin S Shylla said on Friday the women’s wing will hold meetings from Monday.
“The Mahilas are hard-working and we are keen to make our candidate victorious in the elections,” she said.
She also expressed confidence that the senior leaders of the party namely Mukul Sangma and Vincent Pala will emerge victorious.
Meanwhile, the meeting also discussed the party’s performance in the recently concluded council elections, besides strategising for the Lok Sabha polls.
