First round of training of polling personnel held at Ampati

TURA: The first round of training for the polling personnel for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections was conducted in two
locations at Ampati in South West Garo Hills district only Saturday.
The training was conducted for 196
presiding officers and 196 1st Polling officers on Saturday, while the
first round of training for second and third polling officers would be
conducted on March 19, next, informed election officials.
The training was conducted by the EROs and AEROs along with the sector
officers. Besides training on poll day duties and responsibilities of
the presiding officers and 1st polling officers, hands on training on
EVM and VVPAT and mock poll was also conducted during the training.
District Election Officer, South West Garo Hills, Ramkumar S was also
present to personally supervise the training in both the locations.
