World Consumer Rights Day observed across state

NONGSTOIN: A programme on World Consumer Rights Day under the theme ‘Trusted smart Product’ was held at Trysem Hall DC office on Friday.
The programme was organised by the office of the deputy commissoiner (supply), West Khasi Hills and was attended by deputy commissioner T Lyngwa as the chief guest along with EAC, S Warjri and food safety officer, R Syiem.
The programme was presided over by ADV Shira, ADC, and was attended by fair price shop dealers including sordar, headmen, government officials and school children.
The programme concluded with a musical performance by the students of Anderson Higher Secondary School followed by a vote of thanks by the sub-inspector of supply, Nongstoin S Sangriang.
Meanwhile, on the same day, a programme celebrating World Consumer Rights Day has organised at a multi facility centre in Gongglanggre.
South West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner (Supply), Ramkumar S, attended the programme along with sub-inspector of supply, Jordan N Sangma and other dignitaries.
Supply Inspector Salchra N Sangma, talked about the performance and quality of goods and advised to exercise the right to seek redressal.
