AYWO elects new leaders

TURA: The general body meeting of the A’chik Youth Welfare Organization (AYWO) was held recently where new leaders were elected to lead the body.

During the meeting, Sengbath Chambugong was elected as President, Lyiend Roshan Marak as General Secretary, Silkam Marak as Vice President, Alexander Sangma as Assistant General Secretary and Gregoryn Marak as Chief Organizing Secretary.

Other leaders were elected to look after different departments of whom included, Sengkam Sangma (Finance), Sylveniush Silkam Sangma (Socio Cultural), Arjushbell Marak (Social Welfare), Mightee Sangma (Information), Chankey Marak (Education), Herybert Marak (Urban Affairs), Wetterson Sangma (Council Affairs), Sengman Sangma and Chesrang Marak (Organizing Secretary) and Silsrang Sangma (Assistant Finance Secretary).

During the meeting, the organization also discussed various issues including the overcharging by commercial vehicles without adhering to the announced new rates, creation of Dalu Civil Sub-Division etc.
