BJP yet to name candidates

SHILLONG: The central election committee of the BJP met in New Delhi on Saturday, but decision pertaining to its candidates for the two Lok Sabha seats in the state was awaited till late on Saturday evening.
Party in-charge for Meghalaya Nalin Kohli said that it is only the prime minster, party president and the election committee who will decide on who would contest and details would be known only after the list is out. He also said that the list might be released on Saturday night or Monday.
Even state leaders of the party here had no information about the decision of the party till the filing of the report. It may be mentioned that the BJP wants Health minister AL Hek to contest the elections from Shillong seat.
