Rs 28 lakh per annum highest package offered at IIM Shillong

SHILLONG: IIM Shillong has concluded final placements for its 10th batch, comprising 177 students, with the highest package of Rs 28 lakh per annum and an average package of Rs 16.79 lakh/annum, a jump of 8.3 per cent from last year.
The top 20 per cent and top 50 per cent of the batch secured an average package of Rs 22.67 lakh/annum and Rs 19.75 lakh/annum, respectively, while the median package jumped to Rs 16.5 lakh/annum. The final placement of the institute season witnessed participation from 62 recruiters, and consulting and strategy was the most sought-after domain this year with 26.5 per cent of the total offers made to the participants.
Continuing to break the records this year, the season witnessed participation of several prominent recruiters like Accenture, Amazon, Cognizant, Deloitte USI, GroupM, ICICI Bank, Infosys, JP Morgan & Chase and Nomura Investment Bank.
The institute also hosted many first-time recruiters like Bain Capability Network, Bajaj Finserv, Basix Sub-K, Carwale, eClerx, EY and Essar Group.
