Mukul to file nomination tomorrow

TURA: Congress candidate and former chief minister Mukul Sangma will be filing his nomination papers on Friday before the Returning Officer in Tura.
Both, Mukul and his rival Agatha K Sangma of the NPP, are submitting their nomination papers before the Monday deadline approaches.
Meghalaya Youth Congress president Richard Marak confirmed to The Shillong Times the nomination date of their candidate.
On Wednesday afternoon, Congress leaders Zenith M Sangma and EX MLA CHerak Momin campaigned for Mukul Sangma by holding an election meeting at Kharkutta Congress Bhawan.
To boost the party campaign as many as 20 BJP workers from Kharkutta region also joined the Congress in the presence of the party leaders.
