Adorsho Sangma BJP candidate for Selsella by-poll

SHILLONG: The BJP has decided to field Adorsho Sangma as its candidate for the by-election to the Selsella assembly seat, which fell vacant after the death of Congress MLA Clement Marak.
Former party candidate Promod Koch, Adorsho Sangma and sitting BJP MDC of GHADC representing Zikzak constituency Bhupendra Hajong were the aspirants.
The Congress on the other hand is fielding June Eliana R Marak, widow of Clement Marak.
The NPP is fielding Ferlin CA Sangma from the constituency.
Trinamool in fray for Tura
The All India Trinamool Congress will field Leoberth R Sangma as its candidate for the Tura Lok Sabha seat, the party’s co-observer for Northeastern states, Biswajit Deb, said on Saturday.
Sangma had unsuccessfully contested as an Independent candidate from the Chokpot seat in the last Assembly elections.
