Apprehended
Residents of Umdihar village (RB) apprehended and assaulted one Banshemlad Khymdeit while he was attempting to steal broiler chicken at around 3.30 am on Friday. The injured was shifted to CH Shillong for treatment.
Pullijohn Wanniang, president and Everwell Robin Thongni, general secretary, of KSU’s Mawkyrwat Circle, apprehended one Anderson Thongni (27) on March 20 at about 10 pm from Laitmawsiang (SWKH) with 10.9 grams of suspected heroin and 10 syringes.
Assault
Bammo D Sangma lodged a complaint that on March 18 at around 11 pm, one Pibit T Sangma came to her residence and created a nuisance and also assaulted her husband.
Entry barred
Shibun Lyngdoh, Director of SRBK Coke Factory, Umlaper (EJH), has lodged a complaint that authorities of Amrit Cement Industries Ltd are not allowing his vehicles to carry goods through its approach road to the site of the under-construction coke factory adjacent to it.
Hit and run
A pedestrian, Ibroming Mawthoh (26 ), sustained injuries after being knocked down by an unidentified vehicle at Bhoirymbong junction (RB) on Saturday morning. The victim was shifted to CHC Bhoirymbong.
Theft
Ashish Deorah lodged a complaint that on March 10, during checking, cartons of noodles valued at around Rs 2,21,105 were found missing from his godown at 10th Mile, Khanapara (RB). The complainant suspected that one Bhaben Bora (security guard) along with one Bishnu Kr Choudhury had stolen the goods.
