BJP candidate Sanbor Shullai files nomination in Shillong

SHILLONG: The sitting MLA of South Shillong constituency and the BJP candidate for Shillong Lok Sabha seat , Sanbor Shullai filed his nomination paers on Mondays in the Deputy Commissioner’s office  here in the presence of  state Cabinet Minister and another BJP legislator, AL Hek and other party leaders.

Speaking to media persons, Shullai expressed confidence that the  people of the Shillong parliamentary constituency would vote for him. Stating that his agenda is to  bring about rapid development in Shillong seat, he expressed confidence that BJP under the leadership of  Narendra Modi would once again form the  new Government at the centre. I

It may be mentioned that Shillong seat is witnessing a multi-cornered battle as several candidates including sitting Congress MP,  Vincent Pala, MDA’s common candidate Jemino Mawthoh  of the UDP have already filed their nominations for the election to be held on April 11.
