SHILLONG: A workshop under the title ‘e-Saadhya’ – an adaptable and accessible e-learning framework – was held on Friday with an aim to “help children to enjoy learning and give them access to technology”.
In her address to the gathering, Bertha Dkhar of Bethany Society (RAISE NE) said, “E-learning makes the students know that technology can play a very important role to improve their education and, later on, for their employment”. “The programme will be a good opportunity to be in touch with computers and laptops, there will be more facilities available for the students,” she added.
Over the past year, the Centre of Development of Advanced Computing in collaboration with Bethany Society (RAISE NE) has partnered with NGOs from the North East to develop e-learning programmes for persons with disabilities.
