City youths win laurels in Assam

SHILLONG: Participants from Shillong grabbed honours at the five-day North East NSS Festival held at the Tepesia campus of Assam Don Bosco University, Sonapur, from March 18 to 22.
An officer and 25 volunteers participated in the programme from William Carey University, Shillong.
Walton N Arengh was awarded 1st runner-up in men’s basketball, Jeballine Ch Marak was awarded champion’s medal in women’s football, Banjoblang Kharrynghi won the 1st runner-up prize in men’s football and Namratha T Sangma won the 1st runner-up in women’s basketball.
