Meet on border polling today

SHILLONG: Officials from Assam and Meghalaya will meet in Langpih on Wednesday to discuss and strategise on how to have peaceful voting in polling stations along the inter-state border in West Khasi Hills.
Sources said that the DCs of the bordering districts in Assam and Meghalaya along with senior police officials will hold a meeting with the district administration and police officials of West Khasi Hills at Langpih.
According to the sources, they don’t expect any problem during the polls and that the district administrations of both the states are in touch.
It may be mentioned that there are many polling stations along the inter-state border not only in West Khasi Hills but even in other parts of the state.
It may be mentioned that both Assam and Meghalaya are also deploying CAPFs along the inter-state border.
