Amit Shah to address 2 election rallies in Assam on Thursday

GUWAHATI: The BJP President Amit Shah is scheduled to hit the campaign trail in Assam on Thursday for the first phase of Lok Sabha election to be held on April 11.

The BJP party chief is slated to address an election rally at Kaliabor in Assam for   the alliance candidate Moni Madhab Mahanta (AGP) at 1 pm at the T Ao Rural Stadium in Kaliabor under Kaliabor Parliamentary Constituency.

He will address another rally at 3 pm in Jorhat Institute of Science and Technology playground to campaign for BJP candidate for Jorhat Lok Sabha Constituency, Topon Kumar Gogoi.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, NEDA convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma, State BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass, AGP president Atul Bora among other senior leaders of the coalition will be present at both the election rallies.

The BJP is contesting election in Assam in alliance with regional AGP and Bodoland People’s Front (BPF).
