KHADC to appoint permanent chiefs of Elaka

SHILLONG: Executive Member in charge of  Elaka, Pyniaid Sing Syiem said the Executive Committee of the KHADC would ensure that there would be permanent chiefs and not acting chiefs of Elaka.

He spoke during the question hour of the Budget session on Thursday. As per the statement tabled by Syiem, there are 15 acting chiefs engaged at present.

Construction works of  KHADC

The Executive Member (EM) Titoswell Chyne informed about the list of council buildings proposed/sanctioned under the Special Plan Assistance that are yet to be completed are construction of museum etc., at Khasi Heritage Mawphlang, painting and renovation of KHADC branch office, Nongstoin, construction of KHADC branch office at Mawkyrwat, construction of footpath and fencing for KHADC branch office at Mawkyrwat, court room of Hima Bhowal, construction of proposed Traditional Medicine Institute Ri-Bhoi district and construction of entrance gate and footpath at Iewduh, Traditional market.
