Third ‘win’ for BJP in Arunachal Assembly polls

GUWAHATI: The BJP candidate from Dirang Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh, Phurpa Tsering is all set to be declared winner as both his rival candidates have withdrawn their nomination papers on Thursday.

Earlier, BJP candidates from  Aalo East LAC and Yachuli LAC, Kento Jini and Taba Tedir respectively, found themselves in a position to be officially declared elected unopposed after only their nomination papers had been found valid in their respective LACs.

Election to 60 Assembly constituencies in Arunachal Pradesh is being held simultaneously along with Lok Sabha election on April 11.
