Permanent chiefs in Elaka
The Executive Member in charge of Elaka, NPP MDC Pyniaid Sing Syiem informed during the question hour of the budget session, on Thursday, that there will be permanent chiefs of Elaka.
He also informed that there are 15 acting chiefs at present.
Construction work
The Executive Memberin charge of Building, UDP MDC Titoswell Chyne informed that buildings sanctioned under the Special Plan Assistance that are yet to be completed include a museum at Khasi Heritage, Mawphlang, renovation of KHADC branch offices at Nongstoin and Mawkyrwat, construction of footpath and fencing for KHADC branch office in Mawkyrwat, construction of proposed Traditional Medicine Institute in Ri-Bhoi and Courtroom of Hima Bhowal and the construction of an entrance gate and footpath in Iewduh.
