AIUDF-Cong alliance to result in influx: Shullai

SHILLONG: Sanbor Shullai, in a statement issued on Sunday, said that the Congress-All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) alliance, a party formed by Badruddin Ajmal, will harm Meghalaya in terms of influx.
“The alliance can harm the demographic structure of Northeastern states, including Meghalaya, which shares its boundary with Bangladesh,” said Shullai.
He asserted that only BJP, under the leadership of Narendra Modi, can secure the nation from such unholy alliance.
According to Shullai, Congress made an alliance with AIUDF formed by Ajmal, a party seen as the champion-cause of “illegal Muslim immigrants from Bangladesh”.
