SHILLONG: The Swachhta Pakhwada programme was launched by DM Thappa, Director, North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) with the participation of students and all sections of the faculty, as a part of Swachhta Abhiyan on Monday.
DT Umdor, Deputy Director, NEIGRIHMS administered the pledge in Khasi to the gathering and lauded the sanitation department for organising the programme.
Thappa administered the same pledge in English.
