WILLIAMNAGAR : Keeping in mind the need to exercise one’s voting rights, East Garo Hills District Election Officer (DEO), Swapnil Tembe, had initiated a positive step by urging all the eligible voters in the district to come out in large numbers and exercise their right to franchise on 11 April, the polling day.

As the voter’s slip is not a stand-alone document for identification of the voter, he asked the voters to bring along the EPIC Card or other alternative documents like the Job Card, PAN Card, Aadhar Card, etc.

The DEO also requested the young voters to come out and help the senior citizens, women with children and the persons with disabilities in voting as the theme of this Lok Sabha election is “Accessible Elections”.
