TURA: West Garo Hills police have arrested another member of the gang that lured a Assam based trader and his driver into Dalu area on the pretext of selling them arecanuts only to brutally murder them, last week.

Tura police on Friday successfully arrested one of the prime murder accused, Mose D Sangma alias Tangbath, from Dobasipara area of Tura town. The accused hails from Bangsingra area of Dalu and was part of a gang of four to five criminals who committed the crime on April 7th.

On the same day of Tangbath’s arrest, police from Kherapara found the highly decomposed  body of the missing Mahindra pik up driver Nur Aziz from a jungle area of Ontapara village. The trader’s body was earlier recovered from a nearby area.

The Assam trader Rohidul Islam and driver Nur Aziz were lured by the gang to Sensenggre village of Dalu and from there taken towards Ontapara village where they were killed in cold blood and their bodies dumped in a jungle.
