SHILLONG: The Commucratic People’s Party (CPP) has filed a petition urging Chief Minister Conrad Sangma to set up a separate department to look into the problems faced by men.
CPP convener, Wansainbor A Lyngwi said that the party sees a hopeless and dark future for men who face different kinds of difficulties and disdain.
He argued that such incidents are obstacles for them and at the same time are the bolts for a trap.
He further stated that men want justice but find it difficult to approach the government.
Lyngwi maintained that a separate department for men can ensure equal rights for all.
“Accordingly, the government should have a separate department for them to solve their problems,”, he said.
