St Paul, Pentacost win 1st day matches of U-19 basketball

SHILLONG: The first and second matches of the 3rd U-19 Invitational Basketball Tournament was won by of the St. Paul School and Pentacost School at St. Paul’s Higher Secondary School basketball court at Mawngap on Friday.
The first game was played between host St. Paul school and Raid Sadew school where St. Paul won convincingly by margin of 5 baskets.
In the second match, Pentacost School defeated Rev. Thomas School by identical margin. The tournament is played on a knock out basis.
The tournament is being organised by the Young Men Christian Association (YMCA), Shillong.
Altogether six schools are participating in the tournament which was inaugurated by YMCA secretary DL. Warjri.
