SHILLONG: Criticizing the state government of going slow with the implementation of Inner Line Permit (ILP) in the state, a group of organisations under the umbrella of Confederation of Meghalaya Social Organizations (CoMSO) will hold a Black Flag Day on April 23 in the entire state.

In a statement issued here, the CoMSO said it held a meeting on April 13 where it had decided to launch statewide agitations to pressurise the government to implement ILP in the entire state.

The members of the organisation will pin black ribbons on the public, display black flags on cars, carry flex in which demand for ILP will be written.

The organisation has criticized the state government for being slow and not serious with the implementation of ILP which seeks to tackle the growing concern for influx in the state.

After the observation of Black Flag Day, the organisation will then initiate series of agitations. The organisation maintained that they will continue with the agitation until the government implements the ILP in the state.

The CoMSO has urged the public to allow the members of the organisation to pin black ribbons on them and black flags on their vehicles.
