SHILLONG: The dilapidated Trongpleng-Balat road under Mawsynram constituency has finally been blacktopped.
The Hynniewtrep Youth Council had urged the contractors to expedite work before monsoon as Mawsynram receives heavy rainfall often competing with Sohra.
The road connects many villages in Mawsynram and Ranikor. The organisation thanked Pius Marwein and HM Shangpliang, representatives of Ranikor and Mawsynram, respectively, for initiating the blacktopping of the road.
