Army Vice Chief visits forward areas in Sikkim

GUWAHATI: Lt. Gen Devraj Anbu, Vice Chief of Army Staff, visited Trishakti Corps and forward areas of Sikkim from April 17 to 18. On arrival at Sukna, the  Vice Chief was briefed by Lt. Gen. CP Mohanty, GOC Trishakti Corps on the operational preparedness and prevailing situation on the borders, according to a Defence communique.

Subsequently, the Vice Chief proceeded to East Sikkim to visit key forward posts, where he interacted with the troops and complimented them for their professionalism, commitment and dedication for maintaining round-the-clock vigil in sensitive border areas and upholding the sovereignty of the nation.
