AR initiates devp projects in Arunachal

GUWAHATI: Lt Gen Sukhdeep Sangwan, Director General Assam Rifles and Sangeeta Sangwan, president of Assam Rifles Wives Welfare Association (ARWWA), during their visit to the Vijaynagar, Arunachal Pradesh, inaugurated two Military Civic Action projects for the villagers namely Computer Centre for Children and Local Youth and distributed first lot of six out of the planned 12 mini tractors to farmers.
During the visit the president of ARWWA interacted with the ‘veer naaris’ and widows of the Assam Rifles residing in the remote location, yet to be connected by road.
The President of ARWWA also interacted with local ladies and the school children.
For the first time ever, Assam Rifles has decided to sponsor three school-going children — two boys and one girl — who will be pursuing their studies in Assam Rifles Public School, Shillong.
The Assam Rifles is steadfastly committed towards the upliftment of the populace of this beautiful hamlet on the Eastern Frontiers of the nation.
