Accident
On Thursday around 2:40 pm, one scooty (ML-05S-9006) ridden by Zetly Anthony Syiemlieh met with an accident at Mawtnum village in Ri Bhoi. The rider and one pillion rider sustained injuries and were taken to Nongpoh Civil Hospital.
Fraud
Sengchattak D Shira, DTO Tura (WGH) lodged a complaint stating that on April 18, Anowar Hussain introduced himself as being the in-charge of Cyber Crime-cum-Crime & Criminal Tracking Networking System (CCTNS) of Lakhipur Police Station in Goalpara, Assam. The accused entered the DTO office in Tura and without consent, went through official files. The accused also stole the original copies of Form. 21 and 22 of three motorcycles (ML-08-F-0231, ML-08F-0375 & ML-08F-466).
Murder
Zamal Mandal lodged a complaint stating that on April 23 around 7:30 pm, Sobial Sheikh of Bashmara arrived at the complainant’s residence in Kukarpahar, Phulbari (WGH) and took the complainant’s son Alom Mandal (18) for a walk. On April 24, fishermen found the body of Alom Mandal from Jinjiram River in Phulbari. Police arrested Sobial Sheikh and the matter is now under investigation.
