SHILLONG: Shillong Lajong Junior Reds registered their fourth consecutive win ton Saturdat in the Hero Junior league (Guwahati – Shillong Zone), after defeating Guwahati Town Club by a solitary goal at the Nehru Stadium in Guwahati.The only goal of the match was scored by Lajong youngster Wadajied K. Ryngkhlem in the 60th minute.It was an entertaining match played today in Guwahati as both teams were pressing in attack but neither teams could dominate the other in the first half. However, it was the Young Reds of Lajong who came out on top in the second half and ensured all 3 points to take home.With this win, Shillong Lajong Juniors secure the top position of the table with 13 points from 5 games. Therefore Lajong has qualified to the Final Round of the Hero Junior League which will be held in Kolkata during the last week of May 2019.Nevertheless, Lajong still has one match to play in the Guwahati – Shillong Zone against GTC, which is the reverse fixture on May 4 in Shillong.
