SHILLONG: Shillong Police are clueless as of now with the regard to the incident on burning of two trucks parked at the FCI godown in Mawlai Mawroh on Sunday night.

Police said that they had not got any clue into the incident but detailed inquiry was on. Forenic experts are on job at the place of occurrence to gather clues.

Meanwhile, security has also been enhanced in the area to ensure that no untoward incident takes place in the area.

The burning of the trucks came in the wake of  a Home Guard personnel, who was guarding the FCI go-down at Khanapara, died  recently after being assaulted by a group of truck drivers.

It may be mentioned that a Home Guard personnel manning the FCI go-down at Khanapara succumbed to injuries after being assaulted by four truck drivers last week.

The deceased was identified as 50-yr-old Disnarlin L Lyngdoh.

Meanwhile, the Joint Action Committee, Mawlai has petitioned the Home Minister, James Sangma  saying that the assailants of Disnarlin L Lyngdoh  should be arrested immediately  and   stringent punishment should be given to them.

The Committee also said that Disnarlin L Lyngdoh was the sole breadwinner of the family, adding they will not rest until their demands are met
