RBYO urges KHADC to check influx

SHILLONG: Ri-Bhoi Youth Organisation (RBYO) met the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) CEM Teiñwell Dkhar on Wednesday to discuss on the functions of the Dorbar Shnong, influx etc.

The delegation was led by president of the organisation, Baiateilang Lapang and general secretary, Kronding Nongbsap.

The group raised  concern on the growing influx and to direct the Dorbar Shnong not to allow illegal immigrants in the villages without proper check of documents.

They also raised concerns on Trading license and labour license. The CEM  assured the organisation to look into the matter.

With regard to market places, the organisation urged the KHADC to monitor the markets in Ri-Bhoi such as in Byrnihat, Nongpoh,Umsning,Umroi Bhoirymbong etc.
