Ri Bhoi body meets Teinwell over influx

SHILLONG: Ri-Bhoi Youth Organisation (RBYO) met Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) CEM Teiñwell Dkhar to discuss on the functions of the Dorbar Shnong, influx etc on Wednesday.
The delegation was led by its president Baiateilang Lapang and general secretary, Kronding Nongbsap.
The group raised concerns on the growing influx and to direct the Dorbar Shnong to not allow illegal immigrants in the villages without proper documents. Trading license and labour license issue was raised. The CEM assured to look into the matter.
It also urged KHADC to monitor the markets in Ri-Bhoi such as in Byrnihat, Nongpoh,Umsning,Umroi Bhoirymbong etc.
