Venkat T Mare takes charge of Air Force Station Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Air Commodore Venkat T Mare took over the charge of Air Force Station Borjhar, here from Air Commodore Shashank Misra.

The Air Commodore is an aluminus of National Defence  Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla. He was Commission in the Flying Branch of Indian Air Force (IAF) as Helicopter Pilot on June16 1990. The Officer is an experienced Helicopter Pilot with 6000 flying hours and has extensively flown in North East as well as Jammu & Kashmir sector in various operational roles.

He has undergone Staff Course at Defence Service Staff College, Wellington and Higher Command Course at Army War College, Mhow.

Air Commodore Mare has previously Commanded an Operational Helicopter Unit in Northeast and an Air Force Station in Andaman & Nicobar Island. The officer has also served in UN Mission in Democratic Republic of Congo.
