SHILLONG: United Democratic Party (UDP) leader, Bindo M Lanong has predicted that BJP ( Bah Jemino Pala ) will win the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Shillong seat.

It may be mentioned that the Shillong seat which was under the grip of Congress for the last two terms is witnessing a  multi cornered fight while the main fight in the election is said to be between Congress, UDP and   BJP

However, Lanong on a light note says that  of the two BJP’s (Bah Jemino Pala), the third and genuine BJP candidate, Sanbor Shullai will definitely win

On a serious note he said that the contest is tough between Vincent Pala and  the common candidate Jemino Mawthoh but Mawthoh definitely has a slight edge.

As far as Tura seat is concern which witnessed more aggressive campaigning, Lanong said that the competition even in Tura is tough and neck to neck but Agatha Sangma would have an edge as all the partners of the MDA  have worked together for her in the elections.

The Tura constituency which has been fortress for the NPP is witnessing a three-cornered battle among Congress, BJP and NPP.

However, the main fight here is between the veteran Mukul Sangma and the young Agatha Sangma

It may be mentioned that less than two weeks time is left for the results to be announced for the Lok Sabha elections which is being conducted throughout the country in  seven phases
