SHIILLONG: Ten days of combined annual training camp for NCC boys & girls began at 119 Inf Bn TA, Laban on Sunday organised by second Meghalaya Battalion NCC.
400 boys and girls NCC cadets from all over the state are attending the camp.
The camp is being conducted with an aim to develop spirit of comradeship, discipline, team spirit, leadership, character building and self reliance. Apart from drill, map reading, firing, and tent pitching besides various adventure training will also be conducted.
Guest lectures on various topics of civil and military will be conducted for cadets from various agencies.
The camp will conclude after cultural programme on May 20 and Chief Minister Conrad Sangma will be the chief guest.
