Meghalaya Cabinet okays service rules for Programme Evaluation Directorate

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Cabinet on Thursday approved the service rules for the Directorate of Programme Implementation and Evaluation besides approving a proposal  for repealing the  Meghalaya Service ( Discipline& Appeal) Rules , 2011.

Tynsong said that the rules needed be repealed as a lot of amendments have been made in the rules and new rules will be in place shortly.

The Cabinet also repealed Meghalaya  Service (Conduct Rules ),1990.

The Cabinet also approved the renaming of  Directorate of Agriculture (Research and Training) to Directorate of Agriculture  Research , Training and Technology induction.

Meanwhile, the Cabinet also approved six posts of enforcement inspector and 15 post of enforcement checker for the Transport Department in view of the work load of the department
