NPP’s North East cell to meet on June 8

SHILLONG: The first conference of the National People’s Party–North East Coordination Committee (NPPNECC) will be held in Shillong on June 8 to address burning issues.
The NPP national vice-president and the chairman of NPPNECC, DD Lapang, recently convened a meeting of the NECC members in the city to prepare for the conference.
Discussions were held to draw up the agenda of the conference which will include burning issues.
Besides Lapang, Home Minister and Ex-Officio Member NPPNECC, James P K Sangma, and co-chairman NPPNECC and state president NPP W R Kharlukhi also attended the meeting.
The members explored ways and means to make the conference a success.
The intention is to strengthen the party organisation, women’s wing and the youth wing.
The chairman of the NPPNECC also apprised the National President of NPP, Conrad K Sangma, of the decisions taken.
