Quality certification for two PHCs

SHILLONG: Two primary health centres at Umden and Nartiang have secured national quality certification.
This was informed to the State Health department by the Additional Secretary and Mission Director (NHM).
The two health facilities underwent assessment by a two-member team of empanelled external assessors in February this year.
While Umden PHC scored 86.9 per cent and met all the criteria required for national quality certification, the Nartiang PHC scored 79.5 per cent while meeting all the criteria.
