SHILLONG: Roy Kupar Synrem has hit out at the allegations made against him, Johnstelin Youroin and Stephan Ropmay following an FIR filed by Binestar Ksanlah.
Synrem said Johnstelin Youroi (assistant secretary of Shella Village Dorbar for the year 2018) along with the former and other members of Shella Village Dorbar had filed a case against Wantei Swett (Secretary) and Tobias Tiewdop after Swett handed over the post of the secretary, Shella Village Dorbar, to Tobias Tiewdop.
The presiding officer, Subordinate District Council Court, Shillong, in the order on May 8 last year restrained Tiewdop to act as secretary of Shella Village Dorbar and to hold any general Dorbar and furthermore allowed Assistant Secretary (Johnstelin) to look after the administration of Shella Village.
The May 8 order was made absolute through another order on August 8 last year. Aggrieved by the same, Swett and Tiewdop then filed an appeal before the Judge, District Council Court.
The Judge, after hearing the matter, was not inclined to interfere with the orders of the lower court.
Since the August 8 and December 10 orders were still operating in favour of the Assistant Secretary, a general Dorbar was held on March 22 this year for electing new members of Shella Village Dorbar since the term of Swett as secretary had already expired.
Synrem said that despite knowing well that no court orders are operating in their favours, Swett and Tiewdop flouted various orders passed by different courts and willfully and deliberately held Dorbars on various occasions which amounts to gross and flagrant violation of the orders passed by different courts. He said that Johnstelin Youroin, Stephan Ropmay are not responsible for the disturbances and chaos in Shella Village,
He slammed the allegation of cheating, misleading and misguiding the people of Shella as well as responsible for the disorder in Shella Village as alleged by Binestar Ksanlah and secretaries.
He added that the incident that happened on the April 29 is the result of their willful disobedience to the court’s order which resulted in the scuffle between the police and people.
On the other allegations in the FIR filed by Ksanlah, Synrem said whatever that has been done by the assistant secretary along with the members of Shella Village Dorbar are on the basis of standing orders which are operating in their favour passed by the courts and the order of the Supreme Court of India.
