West Khasi Hills voted for Pala

NONGSTOIN: The people from the five Assembly segments of West Khasi Hills District including Nongstoin, Rambrai-Jyrngam,  Mawshynrut, Mawthadraishan and Mairang have once again elected the sitting MP Vincent H Pala from the Shillong seat.
The Returning Officer Of West Khasi Hills informed that Congress won from Nongstoin with a total votes of 15745, while in Rambrai it secured 13303,  in Mawshynrut the party got 11466, in Mawthadraishan it secured 16130 votes while in Mairang it secured 12638 votes respectively.
The District Election Officer, WKH T Lyngwa declared that Vincent H Pala has obtained maximum numbers of votes from all the five constituencies of West Khasi Hills District followed by United Democatic Party (UDP) candidate Jemino Mawthoh.
