Suicide blast near Afghan military training centre kills 6

Kabul, May 30 (IANS) At least six people were killed and six others wounded in a suicide blast outside a military training centre in the Afghan capital on Thursday, officials said.

“A suicide bomb blast occurred at a street in front of Marshal Fahim National Defence University in Police District 5. The initial information found six people were killed and six others wounded,” the Afghan Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement.

The blast occurred when cadets were leaving the building, Xinhua news agency reported.

Security forces cordoned off the area for precautionary measures.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
