London: South Africa’s injury list grew as Lungi Ngidi, the young pace bowler, limped off the field during their ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 game against Bangladesh at The Oval with hamstring trouble.
Ngidi, who who went for 34 runs in his four overs on the morning of Sunday, 2 June, walked back to the dressing room at the conclusion of the seventh over of the match. It was later confirmed that he would not take the ball again for the rest of the game, and had been ruled out of the match with, according to the commentary team left hamstring injury. (Agencies)
