GUWAHATI: Determined in put in place the basic infrastructure which would expedite economic development of Arunachal Pradesh, the State Cabinet headed by Chief Minister Pema Khandu has decided to impress upon the Ministry of Civil Aviation to expeditiously complete the Hollongi Greenfield Airport at the earliest before the deadline of 42 months set by the Airports Authority of India.
It may be mentioned that the decades-old dream of having an airport in the State Capital could be realised through a consistent effort by Chief Minister Pema Khandu and his ‘Team Arunachal’ members who significantly reduced the relief and rehabilitation cost and also finalised the permanent site and convinced the centre for sanctioning the dream project.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for construction of Hollongi Airport on February 9 this year.
