Hit-and-run accused surrenders

SHILLONG: A 32 year-old-man from Laitkor, who was involved in a hit-and-run case near Pantaloons in Fire Brigade killing a 27-yr-old young man on the spot last week, surrendered before the police on Wednesday.
Police said the accused, whose name has not been divulged as of now, surrendered before the Laitumkhrah Police Station on Wednesday afternoon.
Larry Kupar Jana Nongbet, a resident of Nongrim Hills, was travelling on his scooter when he was hit by an unidentified vehicle in a head-on collision near the Pantaloons shopping mall near Fire Brigade ground. The scooter was coming from Dhankheti whereas the vehicle came from Fire Brigade.
