SHILLONG: The residents of Dangar village under Mawsynram constituency complained to the local MLA, Himalaya Shangpliang against truant employees who are working in various offices located in the village.
Acting on the complaint, Shangpliang visited the branch office of the State Veterinary Dispensary in Dangar where he found only one doctor present in the office.
The doctor informed that in the office there were only three staff members: a helper, chowkidar and himself. Besides the lack of manpower, there prevailed the insanitary condition of the office, especially the tools required to treat the animals.
Shangpliang urged the government employees to be regular and serve the public at Dangar.
