Fund raising basketball tourney

SHILLONG: Tyllilang Basketball Academy will be conducting the Tyllilang Basketball League Fund-Raising Tournament in the month of July in a bid to raise enough funds for the academy’s annual basketball league at the end of the year.The fund-raiser will take place every Saturday during the month of July starting from July 6 from 8a.m – 5p.m, at Pearly Dew School, Jaiaw Laitdom, Shillong. The event will revolve around a 3×3 tournament, for age groups under-18 and above-18, where teams will compete for a cash prize. In addition, a King or Queen of the Court contest will also be held, wherein two players will battle it out in a one-on-one competition for the coveted title of the King or Queen of the Court. A three-point contest, which is open to all, will also be among the activities scheduled for the event. A series of stalls will also be available at the venue for food and games.
