SHILLONG:All India Congress Committee General Secretary, in charge North Eastern states, Luizinho Faleiro on Friday said that the regional parties which are part of the North East Democratic Alliance or NEDA
are running their respective states in short term but in the long term they are helping the BJP ruin the region.

Talking to media persons here on Friday, Faleiro lamented that many of the regional parties in the state and in the region are supporting the NEDA whose chairman is Amit Shah and everyone knows the agenda of the BJP and the RSS.
“It is a loss for the North Eastern states as the region used to enjoy several benefits but now all such benefits have been taken away,” he said

Slamming the BJP -led NDA Government at the Centre for taking away all the benefits meant for the region, Faleiro added that the regional parties should not think about short term pleasure of ruling, but the long term ill effects of joining the party whose agendas are different and who have already demonstrated the issues of CAB..
Terming CAB as a sinister legislation, he stated that the Congress and the other stakeholders fought the CAB unitedly but now the sinister CAB as part of the BJP’s election promise will be brought in July

Faleiro questioned whether their idea of radicalisation will be accepted by the people of the NE or opposed.

He also made a Clarion call to all the North Eastern states irrespective of ruling must come together for protecting the future of the North East.
Earlier,he said that apart from Congress, the country is also going through a difficult phase when the economy, GDP and Agriculture sector of the country are also suffering.
