SHILLONG: On June 27 around 6.30 pm, while one truck was loading gravel at Barapathar under Pillangkata OP, Ri Bhoi, the truck rolled down the slope. On seeing this, driver of the truck Nurul Islam attempted to get inside the moving truck, but he fell down and was fatally run over by the truck.
Meanwhile, a private car rammed into a night super bus here in the city on Friday night, critically injuring two occupants of the car.
The incident happened near the Military Hospital.
According to the police, as per initial reports, all the occupants of the car were rushed to the Civil Hospital and condition of two persons is critical.
Immediately after the incident, police rushed to the site to clear the road as there was traffic snarl in the area.
